Lots of things have been going on! Wedding planning has both ramped up and cooled down. Parties and showers, weddings etc. This has probably been the busiest few months of the last 5 or so years of my life (that I can remember). Here is a brief re-cap!
The past 5-6 months of my work life (March through August) went into production a few weeks ago. Things have been good and other than a small hiccup there have been no significant issues. Other than some trouble getting a scheduled job moved ahead of the production changes the move was pretty smooth as well. Development had it’s stressful moments but tomorrow is the meeting to close the project. It will be nice to put the cap on my first official big project in the real working world.
Got my two annual air shows done for the year. Lots of miss opportunities for good pictures at Rockford made up by lots of stunning pictures from Cleveland. I am actually considering getting a couple printed in a “large” format. I think I can go up to 40×30 or so? We’ll just have to see though.
The wedding is coming up here in just shy of two weeks, with another friends the weekend before mine! Bachelor parties have been thrown, and were quite successful (Paintball is a lot harder on the body than I remember it being in high school!). Final dress fitting, food tastings, and cake choices have been completed. Music is almost all done and picture slide shows have been started. So now it is mostly waiting. I still have to come up with “the most reckless think I have done”. There has been a lot of really STUPID things, but not so much reckless. I am really curious to see where the pastor is going to go with that story.
Been another solid month or so of being gone nearly every weekend, the apartment sitting empty. I am looking forward to that changing and having a fall/winter at home. The apartment has been in a chaotic state of going from near disaster area to clean living space. Hard to keep up with it when the weekend is spent away from home and the weeks laundry doesn’t make it into the washer till the following Monday or Tuesday, only to be consumed from the dryer as needed. Which reminds me… the fridge is empty!
Finally made the decision to buy a sport bike and I found one in my price range (CBR 600 F2) that is in good shape. Looking forward to getting in the saddle next spring.
The busiest time and probably most exciting time that I can recall in for sure the recent past, and probably quite a bit longer, although 8-10 year old me would argue that the giant water slide / park is better than getting married.
You know, I wonder how much money could be saved if more people worked at home?
With video and teleconferencing technology where it is I really don’t see why we can’t.
