I will say this is pretty sweet! Although to be honest if it was me, I would have looked into a wireless embedded device. One that didn’t require the USB cable or me to drill a hole through my humidor. I have put zero research into this but I know the modules exist. I might have considered making a separate application that would gather the stats but Twitter does seem to do the job okay.

Tabak Especial Dulce

Drew Estate, famous for its best-selling flavor infused cigars such as ACID, Natural, and Kahlua, has launched Tabak Especial Coffee infused cigars. Fair Trade Nicaraguan coffee beans are used to add mocha flavors to the premium tobaccos. The Tabak Especial Dulce line, very similar in taste to the popular –now discontinued– Kahlua brand, uses a light brown Connecticut shade wrapper.

My Thoughts

Okay, descriptions out of the way here are my thoughts, first the Vino. This was supposd to be a full bodied cigar. In my limited experience I have only had a draw or two from a full bodied cigar and this did not seem like one. For being in the $10+ range, I wasn’t overly impressed. I do have a couple others to try so I will hold my final opinion until I have had another. I was expecting a little more flavor to come through and was a little let down.

The Tabak on the other hand truely exceeded my expectations. This could be due to the fact that I did not really have any serious expecations to start with. It had a very good flavor. It stayed pretty true all the way through except for the last 1/3 to 1/4 or so. It sort of leveled off a little bit and lost some of the flavors but was still a very good smoke.

I tend to agree with this fellow. Until VERY recently I had no interest in smoking. In fact I don’t like / can’t stand cigarettes. While I was “happy” about the last smoking ban passed for Ohio (and several other states) it is also unfortunate. I was happy that I could go out without smelling like smoke. However I also understand that smoking is often a very social thing, especially cigars.

I really wish that those we are electing to office could understand that their bills are not doing what they think they are doing. More often than not things like this tend to punish law abiding citizens. Those who cause no trouble and do nothing wrong. The DMCA hasn’t done anything to curb piracy. But if I want to make a back up of a movie I purchased, you know in case my dog chews the DVD… I can’t. I am a criminal.

The government is succeeding in making honest people into criminals and taking choices away from otherwise free and responsible adults.

I hope everybody is enjoying their *change*.
