Wow… this is why there should be licenses for journalism. This guy should have his revoked! The article was terrible. I certainly hope it was supposed to be satire, because even a “lay person” should see how terrible it is. I just couldn’t find any value in the whole thing. Then again, I am making the situation worse by providing ANOTHER post on the same subject that is going to provide equally as little value. So I guess I should lose my license too huh?
When PC games finally reached the masses, thanks largely to Windows 95, techies were already masters of “Doom,” “Quake,” “Counterstrike,” and “World of Warcraft.”
Windows 95, hit shelves August 24 1995. World of Warcraft didn’t hit the “scene” until September 2, 2001. I don’t expect people to know these dates by heart (I didn’t) but have the comon sense to look them up! Windows 95 PRE-dates World of Warcraft by about 6 years. That is a virtual eternity in both the computer and gaming worlds. Also, that graphic couldn’t have been more cliche if it tried. It has nothing to do with any System Administrator or World of Warcraft.
Terrible… just terrible…
